Oil drain intervals for Generator Engine models TAD1240GE, TAD1241GE, TAD1242GE and Mobile/Stationary models TWD1240VE, TAD1241VE and TAD1242VE depend upon the oil and the fuel sulphur content (after running in period): EO VOL VDS-2 and E3 with up to 0.5% sulphur, 600 hrs /12 months; with 0.5% to 1.0% sulphur, 300 hrs/12 months; with more than 1.0% sulphur, 150 hrs/12 months. EO VOL VDS and E3 with up to 0.5% sulphur, 400 hrs/12 months; with 0.5% to 1.0% sulphur, 200 hrs/12 months; with more than 1.0% sulphur (oil must have TBN 14 to 20), 100 hrs/12 months. E2, E3, E4, CE, CF, CF-4, CG-4, CH-4 with up to 0.5% sulphur, 200 hrs/12 months; with 0.5% to 1.0% sulphur, 100 hrs/12 months; with more than 1.0% sulphur (oil must have TBN14 to 20), 50 hrs/12 months. Where the fuel used has a sulphur content of 1.0%, oil with a TBN 15 must be used
